A surreal moment before the bride marched down the aisle with her father...
The emotions that I witness in weddings that i shoot during the father/daughter marches always evoke a little sadness within me...
I didn't walk down the aisle with my father. It wouldn't mean much even if I did coz' we never had that kind of close relationship between father and daughter.
But I always wonder... how does it feel like to be "given away"?
An architectural delight and a lovely moment for the bride, it does seem surreal, this is a great capture rainsocks :)

@Lorraine: Thanks for dropping by, Lorraine! :)
Love this shot....also wonder how the father feels too. I guess its just as mixed emotions for him as well.

@David: You're right.. I'm sure the father is feeling a roller coaster of emotions as well...
Beautiful shot, touching thoughts. Take care!

@Evi: Thanks Evi!
you mean how the daughter feels to be given away?Or how the father feels that the daughter will be given away?i think in a not-so-close r/s between father and daughter the giving away is more like a ritual they go through withou feeling too much abt it,like u said..i hear fathers tell me it is a mixture of joy and sadness.this is a nice pic,rinsocks,beautiful framing.thanks for sharing:)
